Why we developed it
Detsu Me sells Saudi dates in Japan, so far mainly through monthly pop-up events.
People already familiar with dates from the Middle East often told us they noticed the difference in taste and quality. For people trying dates for the first time, the sweetness and texture can take some getting used to.
We developed the date bars as an easier first product for them.
Developed with a Japanese chocolatier
We developed the recipes with a Japanese chocolatier to keep the natural sweetness and texture of Saudi dates.
The bars contain no additives and are made to be easy to eat and to suit Japanese tastes.
