A Permanent Presence in Riyadh
In August 2023, BASA established a local office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Until then, BASA managed its Saudi operations through regular visits from its Tokyo headquarters. Client relationships, market research, and logistics coordination were handled on a trip-by-trip basis.
As the business grew, that model reached its limits. Day-to-day communication with local partners, in-market product launches, and brand management decisions for TORA Matcha and Detsu Me all required a consistent presence on the ground.
The Riyadh office was opened to meet that need.
What the Office Does
The Riyadh team handles three core areas: managing import and export operations in Saudi Arabia, building and maintaining relationships with local partners, and running in-market operations for TORA Matcha and Detsu Me.
Tokyo remains responsible for sourcing, product development, and quality control. Riyadh manages market execution and local operations.

The Riyadh office currently operates with a team of 10.
